Crewe & District Canine Association Sunday 2nd June 2019

Thank you to the committee of Crewe & District CA for my invitation to judge Beagles at this lovely open show. Many thanks also to my two stewards and of course the exhibitors.

Beagles 

Puppy (1)

1st and BP Thomas’s Terina’s Man Of Mischief, 9 month old tri male, mature for his age. Masculine balanced head with correct bite. Fair length of neck leading into well laid back shoulders, good spring of rib, level topline, and good tail set. Moved ok. 

Junior (1) 

1st and BOB James & Edges Fallowfield Xavior At Jalhar, eye catching open tri male.  Well balanced with lovely outline and sound all through. Masculine head with kind soft expression, correct ear set and length. Good reach of neck with nice arch leading into well placed shoulders. Good depth of chest, firm topline which he held on the move and correct tail set. Good angles front and rear. Excelled in profile movement showing super reach and drive. Pleased to see him take Hound Group 2.  

Post Graduate (3)

1st Jones Beighleighs Diamond Bright At Stanseren, quality open marked tri girl of correct proportions and no exaggerations. Balanced and feminine with lovely head and expression, good length of neck, level topline and strong short loin. enough bone, good bend of stifle, hocks well let down. Moved out well.

2nd Gittins Boomerloo Merlins Magic, sturdy tri male of good quality and nice size. Masculine head with good expression and correct bite. Good reach of neck, short coupled. Ample round bone, short pasterns and tight feet. Sound mover but unfortunately today he did not use his tail to advantage

3rd Roberts Borerst The One And Only

Open (2,1)

1st Roberts Borerst Cyclone, tri male with good bone and substance. Masculine well balanced head, good depth of muzzle, kind eye and good earset. Well laid back shoulder, straight forelegs and moderately angulated rear. Good muscle tone. Moved well round the ring.
