EASTWOOD KENNEL ASSOCIATION OPEN SHOW Held on: Tuesday 23rd APRIL 2019 Judge: Mr. Russell F. Jones (Quemerford)

Many thanks to the Committee for the invitation to judge at this well-run show. The weather was very good for the day with some breeds judged out-side. Many thanks to the Exhibitors for the entries and for their time spent at the show. All entries were show in a good clean condition.

BELGIAN SHEPHERD DOG (Groenendael) PG (Dog or Bitch (1,0), 1 Fletcher, Finnigan & Church, Miss L, Mr. D. & Mrs. L., Invanse Almost Illegal): An 18mth old bitch, that is of a nice type with a nice out-line. Looked a picture standing there, she is still a little nervous and was not settled on the move. That said awarded her BOB.

BELGIAN SHEPHERD DOG (Tervueren) O (Dog or Bitch (3,0), 1 Fletcher, Finnigan & Church, Miss L., Mr. D., Mr., S. & Mrs. L., Ch. Invanse Red Hot, Sh.CM: A good type of dog that is rising 5yrs of age with a pleasing out-line. He has a good head and eye, strong neck and good front with a deep chest, nice top-line and strong back end. He is very smooth on the move and moved around the ring with very little effort. Looked very pleasing to the eye, pleased to award him BOB.    2 Elliott, Mrs S., Sulanevaeh Raul Thane: A 3yr old upstanding dog that is of a pleasing type and out-line. He has a good expression and was in good coat. Let himself down on the move today, but I was still pleased to award him Res. BOB.    3 Fletcher, Finnigan & Church, Miss L., Mr. D., Mr., S. & Mrs. L., Invanse Sweet Dreams, J.W: A 3.5yr old bitch of good type and out-line, pity she was so unsettled and nervous today. Moved out ok when going around the ring.

BORDER COLLIE J (Dog or Bitch (2,0), 1 Lee & Ratcliffe, Miss B. & Miss J., Arrodare Royal Flush: A b/w bitch that was 12mth old on the day. A very clean feminine bitch with a smart out-line. Well balanced for her age. Moved out nicely. Pleased to award her Res. BOB and BP.    2 Small, Mrs. S., Tobermoray Godrevy Beach.): A 15mth old b/w very feminine bitch again of a nice type with a balanced out-line. Just did not out as well as the 1st.

PG (Dog or Bitch (1,0), 1 Small, Mrs. S., Tobermoray Godrevy Beach.): As before.

O (Dog or Bitch (1,0), 1 Lee, Miss B., Master of Illusion, JW: A 2yr old b/w dog very masculine for his age. He is very well balanced and of good type, with a good head and pleasing expression. I liked his shoulders and top-line, he has excellent bone and strong back-end. Moved out well around the ring with excellent movement. Pleased to award him BOB. Congratulations.  

COLLIE (Rough) J (Dog or Bitch (4,0), 1 Wright, Mr. S.W. & Mrs. D.J., Cuannar For Your Eyes Only: An 8mth old tri coloured bitch that was very well behaved. She was well balanced with a nice out-line, good feminine head and very pleasing on the eye. She moved out lovely for her age and I was pleased to award by BP.    2 White, Mrs. J., Mejola Physical Attraction: A 15mth old tri bitch, pipped on the day by the 1st placing. She is a pleasing type with a nice out-line, very feminine and moved well.    3 Wright, Mr. S.W. & Mrs. D.J., Cuannar Crazy For You: An 8mth old s/w dog that just needs to settle. He is of a nice type with a very nice outline.    4 Davis, Miss. M., Beldones Uptown Girl of Rosschell: A s/w bitch just 6mths old on the day that should have walked this class. I just loved her. Unfortunately, she had other ideas and just did not want to move. Pity, but she has time.

PG (Dog or Bitch (3,2), 1 White, Mrs. J., Mejola Main Attraction: A 15mths old s/w bitch that stood alone in this class. She is a very pleasing type with a good out-line and very feminine. Unfortunately, just did not want to co-operate today.

O (Dog or Bitch (7,2), 1 White, Mrs. Lyall. J., Mejola Fate And Fortune: A 2.6yr old b/m dog, that is a of a very pleasing type with a good out-line. He has a nicely balanced head and strong neck, neat front and chest and good back. He also has a well-muscled rear which he used to his advantage when on the move. His coat is nice and harsh, just needs a little more time to clear it. Pleased to award him BOB and later to see him take Grp. 4. Well done.    2 Wright, Mr. S.W. & Mrs. D.J., Pulido David Weir: A 6yr old s/w dog that is of a very pleasing type with a nice out-line. He moved well and I was pleased to award him Res. BOB. Shame he came up against the 1st today.    3 Benton, Miss. M.K., Brooklynson Jane Russell of Oakestelle: A 4.5yr old s/w bitch that was out classed by 1st and 2nd today. Otherwise of a very pleasing type.
