Hound Club Of East Anglia

MINIATURE L/H DACHSHUND

Puppy: 1. Mrs C McCarthy’s Nagshall Dutch Odyssey  7-month Red dog with a good coat.  Correct head and eye and good front.  His angulation allowed good free movement with plenty drive, but I would have preferred a better topline.  Hopefully this will firm as he matures. Overall his qualities deserved BP and pleased to see him take BPIS Group 3.   2. Mr T L Johnson & Mr L J Cross’s Liric Gin and Tonic at Africandawns  11-month red bitch of very nice size.  Lovely feminine head and excellent prosternum.  Good angulation and driving out well on the move.  Unfortunately, like 1, was not holding the topline very well today.  This was a close decision for me and on another day they could easily change places.

Junior:  1. Mr T L Johnson’s Africandawns Magdalana 15-month shaded red bitch of a good size and a lovely coat. In good condition and body weight her overall construction allowed good free and parallel movement, holding her topline throughout. BOB 2. Mr M Sigee’s Ensigynes Fantasio 17-month brindle bitch of good type and construction.  In good coat and moved well holding her topline but today I felt she was lacking a little in muscle condition.

Post Graduate: 1. Mrs J L Pitfield’s Luna Caprese D’Oroed’Argento of Follyfield (IMP ITA)  Silver dapple dog with a lovely head, masculine and yet still with elegance.  Slightly longer on the leg than others but of such good construction and body condition that I overlooked him being slightly over the desired weight.  Excellent movement with good drive and good topline.  2. Mrs C McCarthy’s Nagshall Holly Lightly Go  A quality red bitch of good construction with balanced angulation.  Moved well but did not hold her topline particularly well today.

Open: 1. Mrs C McCarthy’s Nagshall Love Constantly JW  Black and tan bitch with correct head and nice feminine expression.  Balanced construction producing a good outline. Best mover of the class.  2. Mr E & Mrs D Chappell’s Gleneddee Miz Devil Chic Cream bitch carrying slightly too much weight but well constructed overall with good tight elbows. Moved well keeping topline throughout.
