MINIATURE S/H DACHSHUND 

Puppy: 1. Miss H Turner’s Barrann Ginger Snap  10-month old red dog with a good head and prosternum.  Nice overall outline and moved well but needs to mature a little more which could help him settle into himself. Elbows could be tighter but pleased to award him BP.   2. Miss T Mutton’s Montone Her Ladyship 11-month bitch of nice type with a lovely feminine head and eye.  Somewhat unsettled today but shows good promise. Showed good movement but hopefully will settle more in the future. 

Junior: 1. Mrs A J Bullis’s Amaffrey Aretha Franklin  13-month shaded red bitch of compact size. Front angulation better than rear although moved well and held a good topline. RBOB  2. Mrs V J Watkinson’s My Boy Samson Lee 16-month red dog with a lovely masculine head and expression. Longer cast than 1 but with good rear angulation.  Preferred the movement of 1 today. 

Post Graduate:  1. Miss T & Miss J Mutton’s Montone Be Brave Red bitch with a nice head and eye shape.  Long neck into good shoulders and well balanced with rear. Good overall construction. Parallel movement with topline held on the move.  2. Mrs A J Bullis’s Amaffrey GoodGolly Ms Molly JW  Black and tan bitch and much of the comments for 1 also apply to this bitch.  This was a difficult decision, but I just preferred the movement of 1 on the day. 

Open:  1. Mrs V J Watkinson’s Loggeta Boom and Bust  Red bitch of compact size and good ground clearance.  A well balanced, good honest dachshund with a good prosternum.  Moved well holding topline both on the move and on the stack. BOB   2. Miss J Startup’s Curtisey Head Gardener  Handsome red dog with a lovely head and expression.  Compact in size with good ground clearance and good angulation both front and rear.  Moved well but I preferred the overall outline of 1 on the stack.
