BEAGLES


Puppy        (4 Entries)


1.Hunt, Norris, Carmichael & Starbrook’s Shercroft Liberty.  Tan and white bitch with beautiful expression full of type coming from excellent head of correct proportions.  Compact and nicely made all through, super front, good ribbing, excellent topline  good bone and correct feet.  Good tail set. Moved very true fore and aft.  Delighted to award her two classes, BP and HPG1; and that she went on to win Best Puppy in Show. Congratulations.

2.Laughton’s Brimbleway Saving Grace.  Really promising at just 6mths.  Correct expression and nicely proportioned head.  Very happy tri boy who recovered incredibly well when spooked by something outside the ring.  Lovely shape all through with good balanced angulation.  Good neck leading to correct topline.  Moved out true with purpose.

3.Quinney-Spencer’s Quincerhound Oreo Bark.


Junior        (3 Entries)


Three lovely girls with lots to like.

2.Dawson & Goodall’s Evalux Cashmere Upon Rundle (Imp IT).  Tan and white bitch with lovely balanced outline, good angulation, good depth, topline and underline.  Correct tail carriage. Moved out well, free flowing when dropped into stride.

3.Webster’s Michelroy Pimpernell With Houndscoast

1.Caple’s Tregoniggie Colour of Magic at Morsefield JW ShCM ShCEx.  Well presented mature open tri bitch, full of type and such a typical expression.  Moved out true and with drive. Good length of neck, leading to well laid shoulder, onto level well maintained topline and correct tailset.  Great feet.  Delighted to award her BOB, HG3

2.Hunt’s Bondlea Lucy JW.  Open tri bitch that appealed on entering the ring and just lost a     little on maturity.  Correct expression and head framed by lovely ear carriage.  Good neck, nice depth and width, correct angulation fore and aft, well presented and confirmed with correct true movement.

3.Webster’s Michelroy Pimpernell With Houndscoast.



DACHSHUND (MIN SMOOTH-HAIRED)


Puppy        (1 Entry)


1.Herald’s Montone Our Lady Faith at Winterfield.  Stood alone but lovely puppy.  Super expression coming from promising head with nice eye, good length of neck. Nice proportions and good angulation front and back, nice top line.  Good feet.  Moved out well, very true.



Junior        (5 Entires, 1 Absent)


1.Pearman & Sherwood Delandmar Greta Garbo.  B&T who took my eye straight away.  Super shape with feminine head giving good expression.  Lovely reach of neck leading to well set shoulders, good length of rib, good top line at all times, nice depth and very balanced all through.  Excellent feet and correct rear angulation.  Super movement; free flowing and true.  Delighted to award BOB, pushed hard in the group but just felt she lost a bit in maturity at just 14mths.

2.Roberts & Smith’s Inkums Hot Gossip at Rayol.  Sadly left before the critique was completed to get another exhibit ready.  Pretty head with nicely shaped eye.  Good neck and front.  Nice proportions throughout.  Confident, correct movement.

3.Mutton’s Montone Her Ladyship.  Litter sister to 1st in puppy.  The same comments apply just a little more developed and together today.  I’m sure they will exchange places many times. BP

1.    Curtis’ Curtisey Good Golly Ms Molly.  Nice outline, very balanced with no exaggerations,     which was evident on the move.    Correct head with good neck leading to well laid shoulder and level top line, nice length and depth.  Super front and feet.  Good rear angulation.  Took the class on her correct     movement showing plenty of drive, correct and     balanced fore and aft.  

2.    Roberts & Smith’s Danton Midnight Star Over Rayol.  Another that had very true and     correct movement and was able to convey a balanced picture on the move and stood.  Good proportions throughout of length and depth, correct front and rear angulation without exaggerations.

3.    Mutton’s Montone Be Brave.



DACHSHUND (MIN WIRE-HAIRED)

1.Davies & Tomsett’s Jermaina Iz Novo-Perelkino. Stood alone but very nicely put together.  Good expression coming from nice eyes and balanced head.  Good front and rear angulation, nice length to body with correct depth and shape, good ribbing.  Positive, true movement.  BOB



NORWEGIAN ELKHOUND

1.Maun’s Multi CH Bowerhinton Bear Necessity. Stunning stallion hound of 12 years in excellent condition and still moving out beautifully.  Masculine head with lovely expression.  Super neck, lovely front angles, conveys strength through the body, correct bone and rear angulation. Correct tail-set and in good coat. A privilege to judge him, especially at an open show.  Not showing his age but the heat later in the day in the group understandably affected him.  BOB



AVNSC HOUND

1.Hudson’s Tokaji Moon Over Miami With Mutoko (Basenji). Very smart 8mth old with typical breed expression from feminine head with well set dark eye.  Nice neck leading to good toppling nice lay of shoulder and lovely rear angulation.  Good feet.  Brisk true movement showing reach. BP HPG4

2.Graham’s Stanegate Shot In The Dark (Dachshund (Wire-Haired)).  Upstanding male showing presence and type.  Head of good proportions, nice reach of neck, balanced with good angulation. Good ribbing and kept a correct top line.  In good coat.  Moved very true without exaggeration.

3.Bridges’ Barassy Lucky Number Seven (Irish Wolfhound).



Junior        (2 Entries)


1.Finch’s Olphae Clayton  (Otterhound). Lovely young hound a little bit unsure but very true on the move coming from good angulation.  Good size with correct bone, nice length and depth.  Nice strong head with good eye and ear set.  In good coat. Handled well to give him confidence.

2.Bridges’ Barassy Lucky Number Seven (Irish Wolfhound).  Giving a lot away in maturity at just 10mths.  Lovely free movement and very true.  Feminine head with good expression, good angulation and nice proportions for age just needs to settle into herself.

1.Blockley-Spur’s Grandcru Pierro For Suttonelms (Imp USA)  (Greyhound).   Upstanding male presented in super condition.  Lovely head with flat skull and correct ear set.  Nice front with good angulation fore and aft.  Nice through the body with good underline and topline.  Developing well and floated round the ring displaying free flowing true movement.  Best AVNSC, HG2.

2.Phillips’ Summerview Yogi Bear JW  (Dachshund (Min Long-Haired)).  Full of character and breed type.  In beautiful coat.  Lovely head with correct eye.  Nicely ribbed, good top line and of nice proportions.  No exaggerations confirmed by his free, true movement.

3.Adams’ Teckelgarth Gatling JW (Dachshund (Wire-Haired)).



HOUND GROUP


1.Lancashire & O’Donnell’s Drishaun Say She Ain’t Gazon (AI) (Afghan Hound). Took my eye from the start.  Lovely feminine head of correct shape with good eye and ear set.  Good neck leading to well laid shoulders, good top line coming nicely off the croup.  Correct shape and depth giving a balanced picture.  Came into her own with free flowing movement displaying correct footfall.  Pleased to award her HG1.

2.Lane’s Lanebern My Hearts On Fire (Basset Hound).  Strong masculine hound who moved out so true fore and aft showing reach and drive.  Lovely head, good front, well ribbed and correct top line.  Good rear angulation and no exaggerations.  

3.Timms’ Carlincox Solid Gold (Rhodesian Ridgeback)
