CHERTSEY & DISTRICT CANINE SOCIETY  19th April, 2019 

My thanks to the Society for inviting me to judge and to the hard working committee who ran such a successful and enjoyable show despite being so few in number. I was pleased to have such lovely quality dogs to judge. 

BIS Lhasa Apso, Barnett & Carter’s Belazieth Sundance Kid with Alamiks.  Most beautiful  g/w male of outstanding quality and breed type, who showed so well.  Lovely head and expression and so well constructed throughout with a super topline and profile, everything just flowing together. His movement was so free and sound and he was presented in perfect coat and body condition.   

RBIS Irish Water Spaniel,Busby’s Stanegate Leading Role at Zakby. Lovely quality and extremely smart young male in lovely condition. Super head and eyes and strong neck well set into shoulders, straight forelegs, well ribbed back with good overall angulation and powerful quarters, good coat. His movement was free and sound, showing reach and drive.  

BPIS Tibetan Terrier, Rhodes Khatibi Fluffanella at Calonlan. At only 7 months this lovely g/w puppy was hard to overlook, her outline is sturdy and square and she has a lovely head and expression and was very well angulated and balanced. I just loved her movement which was smooth sound and effortless. She showed with such confidence for her age. 

RBPIS Newfoundland, Coldwell’s Zentaur this is Jam Hot (AI).Really attractive brown bitch who was most noble and majestic in appearance and showed herself to advantage, Has a lovely head and eyes, strong neck, straight forelegs with tight elbows, well ribbed with deep chest and level topline. Lovely coat. At the end of a long and hot day, she looked lovely going around the ring and moved so freely.

 GRAD (3) 

1. Sladden’s Khyannes Triton at Canemamans (Imp Hun)  Braque D’Auvergne.  Handsome male with the desired robust appearance . Nice head, expression and ears, good angulation and feet, well balanced, with good depth and a level topline, glossy coat. Moved quite well but needs a little time to mature, only just out of puppy. Should develop into a nice dog. 

2. Hunter and Collins Grande Misterio Fairytale of Salatini (Imp Lat) Russian Toy Smooth coated bitch of 13 months. Very elegant with nice length of leg and fine bone, nice head,ears and expression, good front construction, glossy smooth coat and moved well. Just needing a little more confidence standing which affected her outline.  

3. Durrant’s Scenterbay Fade to Grey. B/T Coonhound. 

OPEN (3) 

1. Reid’s Hibeck Celeste at Maudaxi  Griffon Fauve De Bretagne. Very nice type, strong , well muscled and very sound bitch. Lovely head and expression, good front assembly, deep chest , strong loin and good quarters.  Very positive and easy movement. BAVImp. 

2. Dennis’s Bailey of Sereno Spirit ,(Imp Esp) White Swiss Shepherd dog. Very handsome dog. Lovely head with dark almond eye, good pigment, nice length of neck and well laid shoulder, strong topline and good quarters. Moved well covering the ground, but I felt the bitch just had the overall edge in gait today. RBAVimp. 

3. Khyannes Triton at Canemamans. 

1. Skinner’s Skyswift Moonlite Tango. Very nice type red brindle dog, in lovely condition. Lovely head with bright eyes, arched neck, flowing into well placed shoulder, well set elbows, good feet and pasterns, deep brisket, strong loin and good hindquarters.  Moved well but could have been a little more free behind in profile. BOB

Graduate (2,1) 

Marshall’s Soufriere One Vision. Nice quality bitch with a good head and expression, very nice front and forequarters, strong neck, well balanced body, deep brisket, well ribbed back and good quarters. Moved well BOB. 

Open (2,1) 

Marshalls Silvamoon Saffron at Soufriere. Very nice head, front and forequarters , good feet, strong topline and loin, well muscled croup of good width and good hindquarters . Moved well RBOB 

BASSET GRIFFON VENDEEN (PETIT) 

Graduate (1) 

1. Moulding’s Nykarth Perfect Moment. Typical head and expression, well balanced body , good front and hind angulation, strong neck, straight forelegs and close elbows, moved well. Just a little unsettled. RBOB 

Open (1) Reid’s Fox’s Nightmare Jessica Biel at Maudaxi JWW18 (Imp Rus) Very feminine bitch with  a lovely head and expression, pleasing outline, good angulation. Compact well balanced body,  good topline.  She had a lively bearing , moved very well and was pleasing in profile movement. BOB. 

BORZOI 

Junior (1) Parsons Jamarqui Alchemy Annie, Very promising Puppy with a lovely head and expression, small ears, lovely neck and shoulders, straight forelegs, good pasterns and feet, deep brisket, graceful curve to balanced fallaway and good quarters. Good  movement which was effortless when viewed from the side. BP RBOB HPG2 

Open (2,1)  

Wilenczyc’s  Dreamlight Northern Dancer at Kashiba. Very nice male with a lovely head and expression, lovely neck and shoulder line, good bone and feet, very nice topline flowing  to strong, muscular hindquarters, very deep brisket, moved very well  BOB HG4

Open (2,1)
